Overview
Tucked away in a 200-year-old Indo-Portuguese home with sweeping views of the Mandovi River, this Heritage Mosaic Making Workshop is where your creative journey truly begins. More than just an art workshop, it’s a hands-on dive into the world of embrechados mosaic art in Goa, a traditional craft that has adorned local facades for centuries. As you sort through colourful glass pieces, your instructor will weave fascinating tales about Goa's heritage, linking each pattern to the architectural stories hidden in the neighbourhood’s old homes. The beauty of this heritage experience lies in its simplicity—you don’t need prior skill, just a willingness to play with colour and form. Over a few absorbing hours, you’ll craft a small mosaic piece that’s entirely your own, a tangible reflection of the art and culture in Goa that you can carry home. Whether you’re a curious traveller, a couple seeking a unique date, or a family wanting a meaningful activity, this workshop offers a rare chance to connect with local tradition in an intimate, unhurried setting. By the end, you leave not just with a souvenir, but with a newfound appreciation for the patient, beautiful craft that continues to shape Goa's artistic soul.
