Essential Things to Bring & Important Guidelines for Your Stay

Things to Carry:

  • Yoga Mat: Bring your own mat for personal use. If you don’t have one, we will provide it for you.
  • Comfortable Attire: Loose, breathable clothing for yoga practice. White attire is required for ceremonies.
  • Water Bottle: Stay hydrated with a refillable bottle.
  • Writing Materials: A notebook and pen for lectures and reflections.
  • Personal Essentials: Pack toiletries, towels, a light jacket or shawl for cooler evenings, and dry-fit or lightweight clothes for comfort. Don’t forget your flashlight, mosquito repellent, international adapter, vitamins, medication, earbuds, and small towels for yoga sessions.

Rules & Regulations:

  • Respectful Environment: Lights off at 10 PM, no noise thereafter. Please use Bluetooth or headphones if listening to music or videos to respect others’ peace.
  • No Eating in Dorms: Kindly refrain from eating inside the dormitory to maintain a clean environment.
  • Substance-Free Zone: No smoking, drinking, or discussions about substances. A drug- and alcohol-free space for your well-being.
  • Cleanliness & Hygiene: Keep all areas clean, including washrooms. You are responsible for cleaning your yoga mat after each class and washing your plates and glasses after meals.
  • Attendance & Conduct: A minimum of 90% attendance is required. Any violations of conduct or disrespect may result in immediate removal from the retreat.
  • Content Creation Consent: Inform us in advance if you’re not comfortable with photos or videos being taken. Likewise, let us know if you’re not comfortable with physical adjustments in yoga practices.
  • No Outsiders: Only residents are allowed access to the dorm. Please refrain from forming close connections with outsiders during the retreat.
  • Respect the Shala: This sacred space is filled with positive energy. Honor and respect the environment created with love and intention.

Food Preferences:

Please let us know about any dietary needs (e.g., vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free) in advance so we can accommodate your preferences.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Cancellation by Participant:

  • 45+ Days Before Start Date: Full refund minus any transaction fees.
  • Within 45 Days of Start Date: 50% of the total retreat or TTC cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Within 30 Days of Start Date: No refunds.

2. Cancellation by Shiva Yoga:

  • If Shiva Yoga cancels the retreat or TTC due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund.
  • Shiva Yoga reserves the right to cancel or reschedule retreats or TTCs based on minimum participant requirements or other logistical reasons.

3. Refund Processing:

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation request.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.

4. Non-Refundable Deposit:

  • All deposits are non-refundable to secure your spot in the retreat or TTC.
  • If canceled, the deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to a future retreat or TTC within one year, based on availability.
