Highlights
Course Highlights:
- Duration: 2-day course
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 10 years old
- Physical Requirements: Good swimming skills and physical health are necessary
- Depth Limit: Dive under direct supervision to a maximum depth of 12 meters
- Supervised Diving: Rent or purchase scuba gear and dive under supervision
- Further Certification: After completion, you can progress to the full SSI Open Water Diver certification
Course Phases:
- Knowledge Development: Learn the basics of scuba diving through independent study or classroom lessons (first 3 chapters of the Open Water Diver course).
- Confined Water Dives: Practice scuba skills in a pool over three training modules.
- Open Water Dives: Apply your skills with two dives in the sea.
Skills Covered: Learn to use basic scuba gear, including mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, and tank.
Itineraries
Day 1: Theory and Pool Training
8:30 to 1:00 pm: Course registration and completing the first three sections of the Open water course theory and video, followed by some knowledge review quizzes.
2:00 to 4:00 pm: We hit the pool to learn to use the scuba equipment and to practice some essential underwater skills.
Day 2: Open water dives
8:30 am to 3:30 pm: Meet at the Dive centre, kit up, and head out by boat to the dive site. Do two dives along with your instructor, where you practice your newly learned skills and explore the underwater world. Complete your paperwork, log your dives and you are ready to be certified as a SSI Scuba Diver!
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 48 hours prior to booking: 50% of advance or reschedule to another date.
- Cancellations 24 hours prior to booking: 25% of advance or reschedule to another date.
- For cancellations less than 24 hours prior to booking there will be NO refund.
