It will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to explore the museum. The ticket also includes a 15-minute documentary offering insights into the artworks and the museum’s purpose.

The ticket grants access to all three floors, the sculpture garden, and a 15-minute documentary providing an overview of the artworks and the museum’s vision.

•   Will I be able to understand the artworks without a guide?

Yes, each artwork is accompanied by detailed descriptions and artist statements in English. If you'd like further discussion, our staff is available to assist.

•   Are the artworks displayed at MOG for sale?

Yes, some of the artworks on display are available for purchase. Museum representatives can assist with pricing and purchasing.

•   Can my children visit the Museum alone?

For safety reasons, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

•   Are there any spaces catered toward children at the Museum?

Yes, the museum features a Children’s Art Studio (CAS) with a variety of art activities, workshops, and a play area. CAS also hosts art-driven birthday parties. Please note that these services are not included in the ticket price.

•   Is the Museum wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Museum is fully wheelchair accessible, and our staff is trained to accommodate all visitors' needs.

•   Does the Museum provide food and beverages?

The Museum Café offers a variety of delicious options, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. These are not covered by the entrance fee. We encourage visitors to bring water bottles for refills to reduce waste.

While not a traditional historical museum, MOG provides contemporary art that narrates stories about Goa's history through the perspectives of over 20 Goan artists.

No, MOG is a contemporary art museum. It tells the story of Goa’s history and culture through the lens of modern art rather than a traditional historical presentation.

•   Is the Museum publicly or privately owned?

The Museum of Goa is privately owned, founded and owned by Goan artist Subodh Kerkar.

•   Does the Museum accept artwork donations?

The Museum welcomes donations from patrons. However, any donated artwork must be approved by the Museum’s curatorial department.
