Itineraries

Day 1 : Arrival & Panjim Immersion

Afternoon:

•   Arrive at Dabolim Airport (GOI) or Mopa Airport (GOX).

•   Transfer to your charming heritage hotel in the Fontainhas quarter of Panjim.

Evening:

•   Embark on a guided evening walking tour of Fontainhas, exploring its colourful, narrow lanes and Latin architecture.

•   Sit down for an authentic Goan-Portuguese dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 : Old Goa & Divar Island

Morning:

•   Delve deep into the churches of Old Goa, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the history of the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Sé Cathedral at a leisurely pace.

Afternoon:

•   Take a short ferry ride to Divar Island.

•   Enjoy a cycling tour through sleepy villages, past old Portuguese-era mansions and paddy fields, experiencing a slice of timeless Goan life.

Day 3 : Culinary Day

Morning:

•   Visit a bustling local fish market (Panjim or Mapusa) for a vibrant and sensory overload.

Afternoon:

•   Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Goan cooking class. Learn the secrets behind classic dishes like Vindalho, Sorpotel, and Fish Curry Rice.

Day 4 : Wildlife & Waterfalls

Full Day:

•   An early start for the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. Keep your eyes peeled for deer, gaur, and maybe even a leopard on a guided trek.

•   Visit the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfalls. You can view it from the base or take an exciting jeep safari through the forest to get up close to the mighty cascade.

Day 5 : Southernmost Tip & Heritage Homes

Morning:

•   Drive to the dramatic Cabo de Rama Fort. Explore the ruins and soak in the breath-taking cliff-top views of the Arabian Sea.

Afternoon:

•   Step back in time at the Figueiredo Mansion in Loutolim, a beautifully preserved 400-year-old Indo-Portuguese home filled with antiques and stories.

Day 6 : River Kayaking & Bird Watching

Morning:

Day 7 : North Goa's Lively Side

Day 8 : Free Day for Adventure Sports

Full Day:

•   A free day to get your adrenaline pumping. Choose from a variety of water sports:

     o Parasailing or jet-skiing off the coast.

     o Scuba diving to explore Goa's beginner-friendly dive sites and marine life.

Day 9 : Back to Nature

Full Day:

•   Option 1 (Goa): Explore the remote and pristine Galjibag Beach, a known turtle nesting site, for a day of tranquility.

•   Option 2 (Karnataka): Take a day trip to see the magnificent ruins of the Hampi UNESCO World Heritage site (note: this is a long day and an overnight stay is recommended for a fuller experience). Please note that this will be at an additional cost for transfers and stay if opted for.

Day 10 : Relax & Reflect

Full Day:

•   Your final day to revisit a favourite spot, shop for last-minute souvenirs like handicrafts and spices, or simply relax and reflect on your Goan adventure.

Day 11 : Departure

As per flight schedule:

•   Transfer to Dabolim or Mopa Airport for your departure, filled with memories of the real Goa.

Additional Tips for International Travelers:

•   Visa: An e-Visa is required. It's easily obtainable online for 30 days, 1 year, or 5 years. Apply at least 4 days before your departure.

•   Flight Time: A direct flight from London (Heathrow/Gatwick) to Goa (GOI) takes approximately 9-10 hours.

•   Best Time to Visit: November to March is ideal, offering sunny days with comfortable temperatures and low humidity.

•   Currency: The currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). ATMs are widespread, and major credit/debit cards are accepted in most hotels and restaurants.

•   What to Pack: Comfortable, light clothing for yoga, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and natural mosquito repellent.

•   Getting Around: Rent a scooter for flexibility or hire a taxi for day trips.

•   Health: Ensure routine vaccinations are current. It's advisable to get vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Typhoid. Use mosquito repellent to protect against dengue. Please also inform your retreat of any pre-existing conditions or allergies beforehand.

•   Plug Sockets: Sockets are types C, D, and M. A universal travel adapter is essential.
