Description

Lokotsav is Goa’s most celebrated cultural festival, held annually at the scenic Kala Academy, Panaji, celebrating India’s rich and diverse folk traditions. The festival features daily cultural performances with vibrant folk dances and music by artists from different Indian states. Each evening comes alive with powerful rhythms, storytelling, and traditional art forms that reflect India’s cultural heritage.

Lokotsav hosts a grand handicrafts and handloom bazaar with around 550 stalls, showcasing Goan crafts and creations from across the country. Visitors can explore traditional jewellery, textiles, pottery, woodwork, and indigenous art. A special painting exhibition themed “Vibrant 25 Years of Lokotsav” highlights the creativity of Goan artists. The festival also offers authentic regional cuisines through traditional food stalls from various states. Craft workshops, including terracotta art, add an interactive learning experience. Set against Goa’s natural beauty, Lokotsav is a true celebration of unity in diversity.
